Pizza Express

Nagan Johnson have designed four outlets for Pizza Express in London. All have public seating at basement level with natural light brought down from above. The restaurants in Farringdon and Kennington also have daylight from the rear at the ground floor.

We were given the freedom to devise our own narrative for the interiors and the signage. All four are markedly different in layout and materials, but all keep the brand’s key features – the lighting and table layouts and the theatrical placing of the pizza oven.
