Dennetts Road
This dark-stained timber clad house is the first phase of a two-building scheme designed for a site flanked on two sides by a school playground. With little external space at ground floor and the front facade hard against the pavement, daylight reaches the inside via discrete, set-back windows and a large openable rooflight over the stairs.
The rear facade to the school is animated by the seemingly random, playful angles of cladding, emphasised by being finished in a variety of shades of blue.
