Landor Road

Landor Road is an interesting street which links North Clapham with Brixton. The triangular site had been refused planning for residential use over the years. The properties on either side are staggered with the terrace to the left having front gardens and those on the right having facades flush with the edge of the pavement.

The site is opposite the Landor Theatre and the Italia Conti Dance School and the  sweeping copper cloak surrounding the curved stairwell takes inspiration from theatre curtains and a dancer’s pleated skirt. There are four flats in the block, all with differing layouts.
