Nagan Johnson were first briefed to extend and refurbish this substantial house overlooking the Darenth Valley in 2003. The house, built in the 1930s for a member of the Georg Jensen family, was constructed by Danish builders and completely overhauled with three modern extensions. After five years, our clients sold the house to our present client and his wife who is also Scandinavian!

The new owners contacted us to extend the property and build some additional facilities. The project brief involved converting the loft to create 2 new bedrooms and a bathroom accessed by a bespoke timber staircase. The major part of the work is the large glazed extension which cuts into the chalk hillside and almost doubles the size of the existing property.
